ACCUR was established on June 15, 2006. At that time named ‘Vereniging van Compliance Officers Nederlandse Antillen’. Since 2011 the name changed to ‘Associatie van Compliance Officers van Curaçao’.

ACCUR aims to enhance the compliance landscape in Curaçao’s financial and legal services sector by fostering the exchange of knowledge, experience, and best practices among professionals. By creating opportunities for learning and collaboration, ACCUR seeks to increase the overall understanding and insight into compliance issues, ensuring that members are well-equipped for the complexities of regulatory frameworks and maintain high standards in their organizations.

Another objective is to maintain a strong network of compliance officers, offering them a platform to connect and consult with one another. This network acts as a forum for inter-professional dialogue, where members can engage in discussions that contribute to the growth and development of the compliance function in Curaçao. Through this collective effort, ACCUR plays a vital role in shaping the future of compliance in the local financial and legal sector.
